One thing at a time?

I am feeling overwhelmed by STUFF so I have challenged myself to get rid of one thing a day for the whole year. Once a month, I will take a box with 28-31 items in it to donate.

Wish me luck!!!

Is anyone else trying something like this?

Oh, sure! Since I have to walk by the Dumpster on the way from my apartment to the bus stop in the morning, I make it a point to get rid of at least one item every workday.

I'm starting to see the space in the apartment again, and it's so nice, let me tell you. I'm fine with having less now that I actually have less.

That's a great idea! I just spent the weekend working on cleaning parts of my house that I've avoided cleaning for so long that I knew it was going to be a big project.

Two bags of confetti later, I shredded everything I could find AND rediscovered the wood-grain pattern on my desk. I consider that a huge victory!

That's a great idea.

I've been pretty successful on the getting-rid-of-stuff front. My strategy was to take my junk/toys/knickknacks and mail them to people who I thought would enjoy them. My room is getting pretty empty, I must say, and I know where everything is now.
